"Saved big time" I took my Ford F-150 into the dealer because the motorized side mirrors were not responding to the controls inside the truck. They charged me $185 to diagnose the problem and stated the cost to repair would be $1,300. I took the truck to Machado's and the diagnosed and fixed the problem for $145. The mirrors work great now. These guys are awesome.

Best auto care! They treat you like family. I never feel like they are taking advantage or overselling. I trust them and their assessment. They have helped me with everything from mechanical side steps on our Escalade to transmission and oil issues to headlamps. Even helped me with new car purchase questions. I recommend them every chance I get. A++++

Highest Recommendation possible ! EXCELLENT service!!!!! While visiting Livermore, I came out to a dead car battery one morning. AAA jump started my car at the hotel & advised my battery was totally dead & referred me to Machados just down the street. I figured I would have to wait for a couple of hours since no appt and arriving at their shop at 10:00AM. Drove up, saw that their shop was full with cars up on lifts and my heart sank. Wrong!!!. A gentlemen, Tom, greeted me as I walked up to their office, asked the problem, had me drive my car immediately onto the shop floor. First, he tested the battery, then confirmed it needed replacement (it was 7y/o!!) I did not have my computer code but Tom was able to switch out the battery without my radio being disabled. While Tom was changing out the battery, I was in the office as Arny processed the payment. These gentlemen had me out of their shop and on my way within 30 minutes. Great professional service!!! They were very friendly, inquired as to my planned activities while visiting Livermore and then they gave me some local winery tips and told me of some hiking trails, I didn't know about!! I learned that Tom was the owner and Arny his longtime friend and partner. These gentlemen are the BEST. Excellent professional service, courtesy, friendly and the shop and office were clean, clean, clean. They most definitely went the Extra Mile for me!!!

"Expedient Communication" My GMC C1500 pickup needed a major tune-up (100K miles). After using Yelp to narrow my selection process to 3 local car shops, Machados Auto Care was one of the three. I elected to personally visit each organization and requested the same detailed work from each. Then I met Arnie at Machados. Arnie was thorough in gathering my information, asking questions unlike the other shops. Arnie then indicated he would provide an email with my quote. No sooner did I return home, the quote was available. The professionalism was shown in the detailed breakdown of each every step Machados was to perform. I made an appointment then and there. The scheduled appointment continued to impress, as I received calls throughout the day explaining what they were finding and status of other items I requested. Arnie answers the phone EVERYTIME I called, never once left a message. Machados Auto Care conducted itself according to the quote and provide communication to keep my in the loop. Do yourself a favor, avoid the search and simply go see Machados Auto Care immediately.

"Nice service" Service was great. Oil change was a bit more expensive than I have had at other places. Wish this place was open on Saturdays as it's hard to bring the car during the week while working in another city.
